Lost Ark: Falling Proud Furnace Guide

This dungeon is a linear path, all enemies must be cleared to advance into the boss areas. There are no specific roles that players take during this dungeon, players can largely clear this dungeon without being punished for not understanding what they have to do during a mechanic. One mechanic of note is to kill the clone of the matching color during the mechanic of the second boss to avoid the party wipe attack that follows.

Boss Key Mechanics:
During the first boss fight, the boss will give players red auras around them. When the number of red orbs on their head reaches 3 the red aura will explode to knock up and deal damage to other members of the party. Players with the red aura should move themselves to the corners, away from other players. At low health the boss will gain a damage resistance buff that lasts until they are staggered and recover from the stagger effect. Players should be aware of this to not waste their abilities and to end the fight more quickly and without taking more damage.

Summary of Recommendations and Tips for the Boss fights

When the red aura appears around your character during the first boss fight, move away from the other players. The aura will not harm you but will damage and knock up other players, head to a far corner to create space for the rest of the team to continue dealing damage to the boss. Kill the wyverns that the boss spawns quickly to reduce the amount of damage taken from them. When the boss begins its stagger check mechanic at low health, save damaging skills for after they finish their stagger effect when the damage reduction buff wears off. Watch the boss's status bar to be sure when the buff is gone.

Keep moving during the fight with the second boss, the boss will frequently call down lightning AOE at players that leave a persisting. Watch for the orb color that the boss raises up after they teleport to the center and kill only the clone with the matching color. The safe zone that this spawns gives a 2 second buff to the player that protects them from the party wiping attack, you can use this to move closer to the boss early to continue attacking them just a bit sooner. Make sure to have your stagger attacks off cooldown for when the boss starts the mechanic to avoid the party wipe. The boss is stationary for the entire duration of the stagger check and is staggered for quite awhile after too giving players a large window to do a lot of damage.

Avadon boss fight walkthrough

Boss Mechanics:

  • Cone AOE attack: The boss will raise their sword then slam it down in a direction dealing damage in a 90 degree cone.
  • Melee slam + Shockwave: The boss will slam their sword down in a direction, a shockwave is also fired off in that direction
  • Spinning Blades: The boss spawns 3 spinning blades in a fan in front of them. These fly off dealing damage then reverse direction and fly back towards the boss.
  • Melee Swings: The boss swings their sword in front of them, sometimes chained up to 4 swings in a row. Often ends with a follow up melee shockwave attack.
  • Meteors: The boss spawns red orbs that fall from the air, 2 larger meteors fall at the end of this attack.
  • Big jump attack: The boss jumps up then lands in an area dealing damage and knocking players up where they land as well as in a ring around them, there is a small safe space between the damage at their feet and the ring. 8 Tridents are also spawned around the boss that fly outwards in all directions after the jump attack ends.
  • Advancing rain of weapons: The boss marks out a few columns on the ground, for a period of time weapons will slowly rain down in those columns, advancing slowly down the columns from one end to the other.
  • Leap slam attack: The boss leaps forward a distance then slams their sword down doing damage in that area.

Key Mechanic:
Throughout the fight the boss will apply a red aura around players. Players with the red aura will get a red orb on their head, when the number of orbs reaches 3 the red aura will explode dealing damage and knocking up other players, the targeted player is unaffected.
At around 8 and 3 health bars, the boss will spawn 2 wyverns to assist them in combat. The wyverns deal damage when they land and will do damaging AOE attacks that can make the fight more difficult if they are not killed quickly.
At low health the boss will present a stagger check while getting a buff that reduces damage taken greatly, this buff is shown on the buff bar. The damage reduction until after the boss gets up from being staggered.

Strategy:
The boss is largely stationary during the fight with plenty of opportunities to deal damage. Take the time to walk away to the corners of the map when affected by the red auras to not hinder the players on your team. When the boss summons the wyverns quickly kill them to avoid taking extra AOE damage from the wyverns. At low health the boss presents the stagger check while gaining the damage reduction buff, save your high damage skills for when the damage reduction is over which is after the boss gets up from their stagger effect. This stagger check does not have a time limit attached so players can wait for cooldowns on their abilities while dodging attacks from the boss.

Kaishur Boss fight walkthrough

Boss Mechanics:

  • Counter Attack Red Bubble: The boss will occasionally surround themselves in a red bubble. If the boss takes too much damage with this bubble around them the counter attack will be activated. The boss then does a quick jump up and then slams down with a knock up in a circle around them. Activating the counter also resets the stagger bar of the boss.
  • Lightning AOE zones: Periodically AOE zones will land at the players feet. These zones are struck by lightning for a period of time dealing damage to players who walk over them.
  • 6 Lightning AOE zones: The boss raises their left hand and surrounds themselves with 6 AOE zones, lightning strikes down for a duration dealing damage in those areas for a few seconds.
  • Large Lightning AOE Cone Attack: The boss marks out a large and wide area ahead of them and fills it with Lightning AOE zones.
  • Cone AOE Attack: The boss will raise their sword then slam it down in a direction dealing damage in a 90 degree cone.
  • Melee swings: The boss will swing their sword in front of them. The boss will chain swings up to 3 times.
  • Triple melee attacks with forward movement: The boss swings their sword 3 times while moving forward. the size of the attack is larger when empowered at low health
  • Melee with huge wave: The boss swings their sword in a large melee swing that also fires off a wave attack in that direction
  • Back step + 3 falling waves: The boss jumps back quickly and 3 small waves will fall from the air landing at their feet dealing damage in a small space in front of them. The size of the wave AOE is larger when empowered at low health.
  • AOE Knock up: The boss stabs their sword into the ground and 5 swords erupt from the ground, knocking players up who are in the range of the AOE.
  • Sword fan outwards: The boss creates 5 swords in a fan in a direction and launch them outwards.
  • Sword fan inwards: The boss spawns 5 swords away from the boss in a fan that then fly towards the boss
  • AOE ring: The boss creates a small AOE ring that then creates orbs dealing damage, the orbs only spawn on the back side of the boss.
  • Clones attack: The boss summons 2 clones behind them that launch 2 melee/wave attacks then vanish.
  • Forward Charge: The boss marks ahead of them with a column then charges it. This attack also creates multiple columns of damage that knock players up when the boss is at low health and empowered.
  • Double clone wave attacks: At low health the boss becomes empowered and spawns 2 clones that fire off a wave attack from opposite sides of the map towards the center of the map, they then rotate and repeat.

Key Mechanic:
The boss will jump to the center of the map and spawn 2 clones of themselves that will attack the players. The boss will hold up an orb that will be either red or white colored and players will have to kill the clone of the matching color. A safe zone will be created where the correct clone dies giving players a status effect to protect them from the coming party wipe attack. Failing to kill the correct clone will not spawn the safe zone and lead to a party wipe.

The boss will stop moving and start preparing their party wipe attack while presenting a stagger check. The attack will hit the entire map resulting in a party wipe if the stagger check is failed.

Strategy:
Players should stay moving during the fight against this boss as the lightning AOE will continue to land at their feet. Bring attacks with stagger for the party wipe mechanic with the stagger check, grenades may be useful here. Watch for the colored orb that the boss holds up when they spawn the 2 clones to kill the right clone and make the safe zone. When the boss activates their red bubble for the counter attack either stop attacking and stay close to wait it out and quickly get back to dealing damage or walk away from the boss if other players do not cease attacking them to avoid the knock up effect. The boss is staggered for a long time after the stagger check as well as stationary during the entire mechanic giving players a lot of time to deal damage to the boss.
