Guard Post in Ruins is a Main Quest in Lost Ark. Guard Post in Ruins is part of the main story of Lost Ark and it is necessary to complete it in order to complete the game. However, it is recommended to complete some non Main Quests of your choice to gain additional equipment and level up in order to make Main Quests easier by being better equipped and prepared. Completing Main Quests will eventually lead you to unlock new features of the game and gain a full experience of it.

Lost Ark: Guard Post in Ruins Information & Walkthrough
You start off this quest by speaking to Danev located at the Western Outpost. He then talls you that their supply route has been cut off and that an individual named Scherrit had launched a surprise attack. He also says that if it weren't for Father Armen, more than half of the wounded soldiers would have surely perished, and if it weren't for you, most of them would have starved to death. He then asks for your help once again to help in providing first aid to the wounded soldiers, since he doesn't have a lot of people who can move freely because of the current situation.
Three main quest icons will be shown on your map, indicating the locations of the three wounded soldiers. Go to each one of them and provide first aid. Once you've completed the task, report back to Danev. He then thanks you for helping out, he then says that Father Armen is currently headed to Zagoras Fortress and you can reach that area as well if you keep going up from here, he instructs you to tell the soldier at the gate about him and he'll let you through.
After your conversation with Danev, the quest is completed and you automatically obtain the next main quest To Zagoras Fortress.
