The Village with a Lake is a Main Quest in Lost Ark. The Village with a Lake is part of the main story of Lost Ark and it is necessary to complete it in order to complete the game. However, it is recommended to complete some non Main Quests of your choice to gain additional equipment and level up in order to make Main Quests easier by being better equipped and prepared. Completing Main Quests will eventually lead you to unlock new features of the game and gain a full experience of it. 

Vanquisher is an heirloom of Luterran dynasty. It's supposed to glow when held by the rightful heir to the crown. That's how my ancestors proved their worthiness.

Lost Ark: The Village with a Lake Information & Walkthrough

You start off this quest by speaking to Regent Soldier Lloyd. He says that he used to serve in the ranks of Regent Scherrit's forces. He says he always followed his orders as a member of the royal army but it always pains him to do so, that's why he surrendered to Prince Thirain. He then tells you that he should be fine now and to head over to Lakebar Village, Prince Thirain could use all the help he can get.

Now you have to meet Thirain in Lakebar, just follow the main quest icon presented on your map and it should lead you straight to where he is. Once you reach the area, the game will prompt that you're about to enter a dungeon, click on "Enter" to proceed. Upon entering, go towards the blue icon presented on your map. A cutscene will play out where Scherrit and Thirain's forces meet each other. After that short interaction between the two armies, speak to Anton. He says he's a bit worried about Thirain, seeing him so glum, but he's glad you've arrived safely. Now go to the lake behind the village, just follow the blue icon presented on your map. You'll see Thirain there, he says that the Vanquisher is an heirloom of the Luterran dynasty and it's supposed to glow when it's held by the rightful heir to the crown, that's how his ancerstors proved their worthiness. That's also the reason why Scherrit seeks the Vanquisher for himself as well. But when he wields it, it won't show even the faintest glow, he wonders what it says about him. Now go inside the orange mark indicated on the screen and encourage Thirain. Just as Thirain was about to head out, a soldier comes in screaming saying that they're under attack. and that the regent's forces are here.

Now head over to the Lakebar Village Plaza, once you reach the area, defeat Norsewet along with some of the other enemies you encounter along the way. Once you've defeated Norsewet, another cutscene will occur. It'll show Norsewet asking the Prince to spare his life, as he was only following orders. Thirain decided to punish him rightfully and asked the soldiers to take him away. After the cutscene plays out, talk to Thirain. He regretfully says that the harm done to the villagers was his fault. He's certain that the raiders will appear again soon, as per Norsewet's words. He says he;ll never let them repeat such atrocities again and this time, he'll make the first move. He says that the enemy is encamped south of the hill and that he's been briefed by the scout, he asks you to join him and defeat Scherrit's raid group together.

After your conversation with Thirain, the quest is completed and you automatically obtain the next main quest Still Hesitant.
