Deathblade Builds in Lost Ark are Builds that cover a few popular recommended and some personally crafted builds for and from the community. These builds were created around each Class, and features guides and explanations for which Stats and Engravings are meta, and which Skills should be used in which situations.
Lost Ark Deathblade Build Guide
Deathblades make use of their 3 Swords to deal rapid and highly damaging combos at melee range. Their fast attacks are impressive but they need to be mindful of their rather low HP. They can choose between buffing themselves or making heavy attacks depending on the Identity that they wish to focus on. This gives them a degree of versatility when it comes to inflicting good sustained and burst damage.

Lost Ark Deathblade Raid Build Guide
The Deathblade Raid Build is an end-game Lost Ark Deathblade Build Guide. Raid Builds are geared towards dealing massive damage to a single target and supporting party members. This Lost Ark Deathblade Raid Build Guide features the the playstyles offered by different engravings, what accessory stats to look for, and a list of recommended skills to take.
The Deathblade plays a DPS-oriented role in raid scenarios. With their quick attack speed, low cooldowns and self-buffing, Deathblades are a strong contender for strong sustained attacks, especially when properly utilizing their back attacks. Despite being one of the squishiest classes in Lost Ark, they have many mobility tools to position themselves properly and get out of danger.
Pick your Deathblade Engravings & Stats
Your playstyle can differ based on which class engravings you take:
Remaining Energy
Remaining Energy Deathblades mainly use their identity gauge and skill as an attack stim. This class engraving allows the player to gain a flat increase to their attack and movement speed, as well as an attack damage buff that scales with how much your identity gauge is filled after Deathblade Surge is used. It should be noted that you do not need the third bubble to be completely filled to get the level 3 buffs from this engraving. As such, players running this engraving will see themselves building identity with their regular skills, activating Deathblade Arts followed by some more attacks, then ending their Arts with Deathblade Surge just before the third bubble drains completely. Rinse and repeat and players will find themselves enjoying a very fluid playstyle.
Remaining Energy, as well as it's counterpart, relies on the identity gauge, and so we're taking Specialty for increased gauge generation, as well as stronger cooldown reduction provided by Deathblade Arts. Since everything that Swiftness would provide is already provided through this class' identity skills, Crit is taken to maximize damage even further.
Surge
Surge Deathblades mainly use their identity skill as a source of burst damage. This class engraving, as its name implies, revolves heavily around the identity skill Deathblade Surge. With this engraving equipped, Deathblade Surge deals max damage no matter how many identity gauge bubbles are filled. Not only that, but each regular skill hit during Deathblade Arts adds a damage boost to the identity skill that can stack up to 20 times. As such, players running this engraving will see themselves building identity with their regular skills, activating Deathblade Arts, spamming their best multi-hit skills, and ending their Arts with Deathblade Surge when they get to 20 stacks or their identity gauge is about to fully empty. This allows Deathblades to have more of a burst damage playstyle than Remaining Energy. It should be noted that Deathblade Surge is a back attack, so like many other Deathblade skills, it is optimal to hit the enemy on their back with this skill.
Like Remaining Energy, Surge Deathblades rely on their identity gauge and should be running Specialty for that extra gauge generation, cooldown reduction, and increased Surge damage. Crit is aslo take to further maximize damage.
Besides class engravings, players should also consider gearing and levelling up these engravings:
Grudge
An engraving that you'll see most, if not all DPS classes using. Provides one of the highest damage boosts of all engravings at the cost of increased damage taken. Other options are available to take instead or to stack with this engraving (e.g. Cursed Doll). Only take this engraving if you can afford to take it to level 3.
Master of Ambush
Increases damage for each back attack that hits the enemy. Has great synergy with this build as almost all of the Deathblade's are back attacks.
Adrenaline
Increases crit rate at max stacks. Since Deathblades do not have access to many (if any) crit rate buffs, this engraving can help maximize damage, especially since it's easy to stack with the class' various multi-hit skills.
Super Charge
Increases the damage and casting speed of charge skills. Many of the Deathblade's hardest hitting skills are charge skills, so this is a good engraving to have.
Keen Blunt Weapon
While a good damage boost, this engraving should only be run if you have a high enough crit chance to crit consistently.

Key Skills for a Raid Deathblade Build in Lost Ark
Spincutter is a multi-purpose skill that Deathblades have access to. Not only is it a movement ability, allowing you to position yourself well, but it also applies a debuff on the boss and has multiple hits, a trait that's extremely valuable for building stacks when running the class engraving Surge. At lower levels, you'll only have to invest into the first tripod, however, as you get more skill points, it's worth investing into this skill to increase it's utility. The most important tripod, Open Weakness, applies a debuff on the boss that makes them take increased damage from all party members. This effect is stronger for both front and back attacks dealt by party members. Quick Preparation lowers the cooldown of the skill, allowing it to be used more often. Finally, Triple Spin adds an extra hit to the skill, allowing you to apply the debuff an extra time. This move is typically used as a opener - debuffing the boss to maximize damage dealt with other attacks.
Dark Axel is another movement ability that deals good damage. This skill is unique in that with the final tripod, this skill allows you to easily position yourself behind the boss to make good use of the class' back attacks. Due to the importance of the final tripod, all three tripods should be invested in when taking this skill. Swift Fingers increases your attack speed while casting this spell, allowing you to execute it faster. This skill will force you to be in close proximity to the boss, so Tenacity makes it so that you cannot get interrupted while executing Dark Axel. Finally, High Axel removes the final hit of the skill in exchange for increasing the move distance and jump height of the skill, allowing you to quickly get to the boss' back by jumping over them.
Maelstrom provides a few key buffs for playing a Deathblade smoothly. Since we're only taking it for it's buffs, there's no need to invest into the final tripod. Orb Control increases the player's identity gauge generation while the skill is active, allowing you to gain access to Deathblade Arts and Surge much quicker. Finally, Dark Order provides you and your party with a buff to your movement speed and attack speed, increasing your casting times.
Soul Absorber is one of the Deathblade's hardest hitting attacks and has decent identity gauge generation. You should be investing into all three tripods to maximize this skill's damage output. Swift Fingers simply quickens the casting speed of this skill. Fist of Darkness and Halve are the highest damage boosts of all the tripods in their slot.
Other Skills for your Deathblade Endgame Build
Earth Cleaver is mainly taken as a counter skill to help the party tackle raid mechanics, but also does good damage the more tripods are invested in. At lower levels, you'll only need to invest in the first tripod. Push allows you to close the gap between you and the boss before executing the slash, and increases the skill's damage. Weak Point Detection increases the skill's damage output against push-immune enemies, i.e. raid bosses. Finally, Earth Explosion is the higher damage boost out of the two final tripods.
Blitz Rush is another of the Deathblade's hardest hitting skills, and so all three tripods should be invested in if picking this skill. Vital Point Hit increases your crit rate while casting this skill. Charge Enhancement further increases the damage of this skill based on how long you charge it for. Finally, Shadow Rush boosts the damage of this skill and allows you to use it while stationary.
Void Strike is yet another heavy hitting skill that has good identity gauge generation. A lot of choices can be made based on your playstyle, but regardless, it is recommended to invest into all three tripods to maximize it's damage. Orb Control should be taken as the first tripod if you're having issues with identity gauge generation, particularly at lower Specialty levels. Otherwise, Swift Fingers lowers the casting time of the skill. When running Surge, Void Zone is a good choice for the next tripod as it drops an AoE on the ground that deals multiple hits, allowing you to stack your Surge buffs quicker. If running Remaining Energy however, Fist of Darkness is a bigger damage boost. Finally, Dark Dimension changes the skill to a holding skill, and we mainly take it to not suffer the slight damage down of the other tripod.
Wind Cut is a quick multi-hit skill and should be heavily considered when running Surge to build stacks quickly. Only two tripods are required for this skill. The first, Quick Preparation, lowers the cooldown of the skill, allowing it to be used more often. Sustain Enhancement increases the duration of the skill, and thus increases the number of hits it does on the boss. If you have any extra skill points, you can invest in Thick Sword Energy to increase the radius of the skill so that it hits the boss no matter how mobile it is.
Moonlight Sonic deals good damage to enemies and has decent gauge generation. If taking this skill, you should invest into all three tripods to maximize it's damage. Fist of Darkness is a straight damage boost for the skill, Sustain Damage turns the skill into a holding skill, increasing it's damage when fully held and Shade Sonic gives the skill another massive damage increase.
One of two Awakening Skills that Deathblades can choose from. Flash Blink allows you to reposition yourself while dealing massive amounts of damage. It deals more part break than it's counterpart and fills your identity gauge more.
One of two Awakening Skills that Deathblades can choose from. Blade Assault has a longer animation than it's counterpart, however, it does more damage and deals more stagger.
