Lost Ark Shadowhunter Raid Build Guide
The Shadowhunter Raid Build is an end-game Lost Ark Shadowhunter Build Guide. Raid Builds are geared towards dealing massive damage to a single target and supporting party members. This Lost Ark Shadowhunter Raid Build Guide features the the playstyles offered by different engravings, what accessory stats to look for, and a list of recommended skills to take.
The Shadowhunter plays a DPS-oriented role in raids. Their identity gauge allows them to transform into a demon, giving them access to flashy, high burst damage skills. Despite their low health pools, their great mobility and flexibility in casting from both melee and range allows them to defy death with good positioning. When starting out, players may have to be mindful of the Shadowhunter's long cooldowns on their main skills.
Pick your Shadowhunter Engravings & Stats
Your playstyle can differ based on which class engravings you take:
Perfect Suppression
Perfect Suppression Shadowhunters forgo their demonic transformation in exchange for being more powerful outside of the transformation. This class engraving increases the damage dealt by all regular skills by a decent amount. That being said, the identity gauge isn't completely obsolete. Perfect Suppression also increases identity gauge generation and makes great use of tripods that allow some skills to consume a percentage of identity gauge charge for a significant damage boost.
As with other DPS classes, Shadowhunters should look to equip accessories that increases their Crit stat to increase their damage potential. Since the engraving already boosts identity gauge generation, we don't need Specialty, and instead players should build Swiftness to reduce the class' long cooldowns.
Demonic Impulse
Demonic Impulse Shadowhunters fully embrace their demonic form and will want to focus on transforming as much as possible during fights. This class engraving increases the player's crit rate while transformed and removes the recovery period afterwards, allowing players to build identity gauge immediately after exiting the transformation.
Since we want to get into demonic form as often as possible to capitalize off of all the buffs it provides, Specialty is a priority to build for increased identity gauge generation, transform duration, and a damage boost to transformation skills. Crit is taken as well to boost maximum damage.
Besides class engravings, players should also consider gearing and levelling up these engravings:
Grudge
An engraving that you'll see most, if not all DPS classes using. Provides one of the highest damage boosts of all engravings at the cost of increased damage taken. Only take this engraving if you can afford to take it to level 3. Other options are available to take instead or to stack with this engraving (e.g. Cursed Doll).
Master of Ambush
Increases damage for each back attack that hits the enemy. Has great synergy with Perfect Suppression Shadowhunters as almost all their regular skills are back attacks.
Master of Strikes
Increases the damage output of skills not listed as either 'Front' or 'Back' attacks. Works well with Demonic Impulse Shadowhunters as almost all their demonic transformation skills have neither effect.
Adrenaline
Increases crit rate at max stacks. Since Perfect Suppression Shadowhunters especially do not have access to many crit rate buffs, this engraving can help maximize damage, especially with lower cooldowns.
Raid Captain
Gives an increased attack power boost that scales on bonus movement speed. Has good synergy with Spirit Absorption.
Keen Blunt Weapon
While a good damage boost, this engraving should only be run if you have a high enough crit chance to crit consistently.

Key Skills for a Raid Shadowhunter Build in Lost Ark
Howl is not only an excellent identity gauge generator, but it can also debuff the boss. All three tripods are required to boost the effectiveness of the skill. Quick Preparation is great for lowering the cooldown so that you can fill your identity gauge faster. If you already have good gauge generation with your other skills, you can take Swift Fingers instead for quicker casting times. Encroaching Power allows this skill to generate even more gauge when it hits an enemy. Finally, Scream of Fury gives this skill the ability to debuff the boss, making them take increased damage from all party members for a period of time.
Demonic Slash is the Shadowhunter's main movement skill. Movement skills are important in raid settings to avoid taking damage and reposition quickly. Only one or two tripods are required for this skill. The first, Excellent Mobility, increases how far you travel when using the skill. Nimble Movement increases your movement speed after using Demonic Slash, and is good for augmenting the engraving Raid Captain if running it. Finally if you have extra skill points, you can invest into Chain Charge, which adds an extra dash to the skill.
Thrust Impact is a high damage skill that has great identity gauge gain if spec'd. You'll want to invest into all three tripods for this skill. Swift Thrust quickens the animation of the skill by combining the stabbing and explosion parts of the skill into one attack, which is useful when taking the next tripod, Deep Thrust, that adds an extra attack to the skill that deals increased damage. The final tripod depends on which engraving you're running. Demonic Impulse Shadowhunters should run Encroaching Power as it greatly increases identity gauge generation with this skill. Perfect Suppression Shadowhunters on the other hand can take Spectral Explosion as they don't mind the loss of gauge generation from this tripod and can instead enjoy a massive boost to this skill's already good damage.
Decimate is another heavy hitting skill that Shadowhunters have access to. It is required to have all three tripods for this skill. Quick Preparation reduces the skill's long cooldown, allowing you to deal damage with it more often. When running Demonic Impulse, where your main damage comes from your demonic skills instead of regular skills, Swift Fingers can be taken instead for quicker casting times as you won't be needing this skill off cooldown as often. Again, the choice for the next tripod depends on what class engraving you're running. With Perfect Suppression, Encroachment Discharge can be taken if you're not having problems with gauge generation for a massive damage boost. Otherwise, Weak Point Detection provides a good damage boost against push-immune enemies, i.e. raid bosses. Finally, Cruel Hand adds an extra hit to the attack that deals good damage.
Other Skills for your Perfect Suppression Shadowhunter Endgame Build
These skills are picked to deal as much damage as possible outside of the demonic transformation.
Rising Claw is a utility skill that has decent stagger and, more importantly, can counter boss attacks. Only the first tripod is required when taking this skill. Naively Honest makes you invulnerable to interruptions while casting the skill. If you have extra skill points, you can consider getting these next two tripods. Concussion increases the stagger damage of this skill - a great tripod if your party is struggling with stagger checks. Otherwise, Critical Blow increases the crit damage of the skill. Finally, Grasp of Death adds an extra attack that does good damage.
Demonic Clone deals decent damage and is great for filling up your identity gauge. While tripods aren't as important for this skill than others, the final tripod is what makes this skill great. Vital Point Strike increases the crit rate of the skill and Fist of Destruction quickens the skill while adding extra damage. Finally, Enhanced Release Encroachment not only increases the stagger damage dealt by this skill, but more importantly increases the skill's identity gauge gain massively.
Cruel Cutter deals great damage with Perfect Suppression as it has a tripod that lets it consumes identity gauge for more damage. As such, you'll want all three tripods when picking this skill. Magick Control reduces the huge mana cost of this skill. Earth Attack makes it so that you have to use this skill close to the boss, but provides a good damage boost against raid bosses. Finally, with Encroachment Release, this skill does over double it's base damage by consuming a percentage of the identity gauge.
Demolition is another skill that does huge amounts of damage with Perfect Suppression. If you have enough identity gauge generation, you can run both this skill and the above for high burst damage. All three tripods should be invested in when taking this skill. Weak Point Detection increases the damage dealt to push-immune enemies and Wave Attack adds extra hits to the skill that increase it's damage. Like before, Encroachment Release allows the skill to do over double it's base damage by consuming a percentage of the identity gauge.
Sharpened Cut deals good damage to enemies and the more tripods you invest in it, the better it does. Enhanced Slash increases the damage of the skill in exchange for losing it's piercing properties, which is fine since we're not fighting wave of monsters in raids. Vertical Slash is another good damage increase which gives up it's large AoE radius. Finally, Critical Cut further boosts the skill's damage by increasing it's crit rate and crit damage.
Slasher is another skill that does good damage outside of the demonic transformation. With more tripods, this skill does more damage. The first tripod, Deadly Slash, increases the crit rate of the skill which synergizes well with the next tripod, Keen Strike, which increases it's crit damage. Finally, Powerful Blow provides a straight damage boost to the skill.
One of two Awakening Skills that Shadowhunters can choose from. With Perfect Suppression, this is your only option as the other awakening skill requires you to be in demonic transformation to use. Gate of Eruption deals good damage and is great at filling up your identity gauge.
Other Skills for your Demonic Impulse Shadowhunter Endgame Build
Many of these skills are picked to fill up your identity gauge as soon as possible, allowing you to gain access to the demonic transformation quicker.
Rising Claw is a utility skill that has decent stagger and, more importantly, can counter boss attacks. Only the first tripod is required when taking this skill. Demon Judgment has decent identity gauge generation and stagger damage. While the second tripod is the most important here, it is recommended to invest into all three tripods is you have the skill points available. The first, Concentrated Release, increases the damage of the skill, but also increases it's duration. Encroaching Power greatly increases this skill's identity gauge gain to get into demonic form quicker. Finally, Instant Discharge removes the holding time required before the skill is casted, making it safer to cast.
Demon's Grip is another good identity gauge filler. While it's tripods are not as key as those of other skills, it is worth investing into all three of them when you get enough skill points. Quick Preparation lowers the cooldown of this skill, allowing you to use it more often and fill the identity gauge quicker. If gauge generation is not an issue for you, you can take Swift Fingers instead for quicker casting times. Encroaching Power, like with other skills, greatly increases this skill's ability to fill the identity gauge. Finally, Stretching Hand is the biggest damage boost of the two remaining tripods against raid bosses.
One of two Awakening Skills that Shadowhunters can choose from. Gate of Eruption deals good damage and is great at filling up your identity gauge, but requires bosses to stay in it's AoE for the full duration to make full use of it.
One of two Awakening Skills that Shadowhunters can choose from. Fallen Ruin deals more damage than Gate of Eruption, however, it does not fill up the identity gauge as much and has a thinner hitbox.
