Finding the Monument is a Main Quest in Lost Ark. Finding the Monument is part of the main story of Lost Ark and it is necessary to complete it in order to complete the game. However, it is recommended to complete some non Main Quests of your choice to gain additional equipment and level up in order to make Main Quests easier by being better equipped and prepared. Completing Main Quests will eventually lead you to unlock new features of the game and gain a full experience of it.

Lost Ark: Finding the Monument Information & Walkthrough
You start off this quest by speaking to Fobet located at the Occupied Saltern, just follow the quest icon presented on your map and it should lead you to him. Once you reach Fobet, he recognizes you as the outsider who drove off the bandits and thanks you. When asked about the monument, he says that he did saw it somewhere in this saltern before but the problem is, the bandits are currently occupying the saltern and it won't be easy to cut a path through them. He then says that no one in Yudia is interested about the place Encavia anymore, but he is grateful that someone from the outside world is.
After your conversation with Fobet, head over to the Occupied Saltern and find the monument and check what's engraved on it. Proceed by following the orange icon presented on your map and it should lead you to where the monument is. Upon reaching the monument, go towards it and press "G" to inspect it. It then reveals an old tale. After inspecting the monument, the quest is completed and you'll automatically obtain the next main quest Subjugate the Bandits.
